Late Summer and Fall Events

Bacon Burger Booth - Open August 29-30 from 11am to 11pm and August 31 from 11am to 7pm. Volunteers are needed to help set up the booth and work in the booth vending. Contact the branch for more info.

Membership Early Bird Campaign runs from September 1-November 30. Paying your membership dues during the Early Bird Campaign will save you $$.

Friday Lunches resume on Fruday September 5 - Watch the Advocate for more details.

Bursary money is available for children of Legion members. Forms are available at the branch.

A large human "Support our Troops" banner occuring at the Wilmot Rec Complex on September 7. The picture will be taken at 330pm. More information available at the branch.

Milverton Legion is celebrating their 50th anniversary on September 20th. Afternoon of events and BBQ supper at 5pm. At 4pm the Harvard Precision Flying Team performs an aerial salute in their WWII Harvard Trainers, tix $12. We are planning on taking a bus to this event, a sign up sheet is at the branch. RSVP required by Sept 1.

Summer Renovations

Comrades, THE NEW FLOOR IS IN, the walls have been recently painted and new tables are coming soon. Mitchell Branch 128 LOOKS GREAT!! Thanks to all those involved with investigating and completing the paperwork to receive the government grant for the new flooring and tables.

Come on in and check it out!!

We here at the Mitchell Legion wish all of our members a super summer. Traditionally this is a slow time of year at the Branch, but all members are welcome and encouraged to come to the branch over the summer months. There's always a nice cold beverage available to help quench your thirst after a long day in the sun. Check out the events calendar to see what's happening over the summer.

Legion Band Concert at Lion's Park June 29th

The Mitchell Legion Band is holding a concert in Mitchell at the Lion's Park on Sunday June 29th. The concert will begin at 2pm. Why not stop by the park and get your summer started off with some great entertainment!

The Legion Band also has several other events scheduled for the summer months and they can all be found on our Events Calendar accessed through the link at the top left of the page.

Elimination Draw + Fish Fry + Entertainment = Fun

This years annual Fish Fry and Elimination Draw will be held at the branch on Saturday June 14th. Tickets for the Elimination Draw are $20 and are available now. Contact Branch 128 for more ticket information. The Elimination Draw will begin at 5pm, with the final name left to be called by 11pm.

The fish fry will be held over the dinner hour, from 5:30pm to 7pm. Tickets for the fry cost $12 per person.

There will also be entertainment provided by Gary McGill from 6-10pm, and this is an act that should not be missed! Mark June 14th on your calendars to come to the Legion for a great night of fish and fun.
